 About a year ago the church decided to move forward with the vision that God gave us to relocate and to build a new facility that would enable us to expand our ministry. We determined that we needed more space for our children and youth ministries so that we may reach the families of Gibson County. On Sunday night, November 29 many of you attended a conversation about our future. From that meeting the sense of the congregation is that we need to proceed to the next level of the vision, the acquisition of property. We believe that we need to raise $200,000 to buy around 20 acres of land. Starting in January of 2010 we will begin our Funding Campaign to raise funds for this purpose. It will be important to note that this giving is in addition to your regular tithing.
We have two financial considerations:
· We believe that it is not biblically nor fiscally sound to go into debt to build
· “Where God guides, God provides”
4 Essentials To Reaching Our Goal
1. We must believe it can be done! Jesus said, “According to your faith it will be done!”
2. We must involve every family in our church! It will take ALL of us working, praying, and committing together. The challenge is so great we all must do our part.
3. We must each be willing to sacrifice. Nothing great is ever done without sacrifice. Your church needs your commitment now, like never before.
4. We must be creative in finding way each of us can give more than we ever thought possible.
I urge you to start praying about how God will lead you to give. We are asking for equal sacrifice not equal gifts.
